Work in Process System (WIP)

The Work In Process (WIP) Software offering is a combination of off-the-shelf modules to connect to databases, scales, other industrial sensors, PLCs, and Industrial Printers/Coders to custom business rules to handle your unique work flow. User interfaces can be on a PC on the line or on a handheld terminal connected to your wireless network. This system is generally used on the final packaging line to collect metrics such as weight(s) or sizes as well as drive marking devices.

• Can query your ERP system to verify that collected metrics are in range and/or push these metrics for reporting.
• Can drive all of the marking devices on the line with data imported from your ERP to ensure accurate labeling.
• Can set registers on a PLC to based on ERP data to determine which packaging / labeling steps are required for the current product.
• Can monitor registers on the PLC to time events such as label printing or collection of product metrics.
• Can provide a visual display of the queue of products in the packaging line with status and any errors that may be generated.
• Can label at up to 60 items per minute.
• Can collect production counts and/or operator supplied data and push to your ERP.
